Connection

Connection is everywhere.

Connections can feel really really good, and they can feel pretty horrible. Somewhere in the middle, lies the subtle ones. Those that leave you wondering, are those that are asking for attention.

You choose to listen and decide.

Prioritizing our connections is of upmost importance in creating what we want and creating how we want to be and feel each day.

What connections feel important to you? Nature, movement, friendships, and relationships all come to mind. Spending more time connecting with my kids is feeling ideal at the moment.

Which connections aren’t serving you well? Which connections could you dismiss? Recognition of a necessary disconnection is an integral part of your health and well being.

Our thoughts can be one of our greatest and most secret connections to our innermost self, and therefore our wellness. What are the pool of thoughts doing in your head and in your heart? Are they spiraling upward with positive, thoughtful, and kind commentary? Is the peanut gallery’s momentum taking you down and out?

If the thought doesn’t feel good, change it! If the thought doesn’t feel good, it’s probably not even yours.

Simple guidelines I’m considering in my life are “Does this connection feel good?”

If I get a yes, I’ll keep it, or I’ll reach for more of it.

If I get a no, I’ll let it go, even if it’s a sad and difficult path.

Take care and time in choosing your life connections. It’s yours to have, live it like you want it.
